Last updated: April 20, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Openings collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, booking pages, and dashboard. If you use Openings on behalf of a business, you are responsible for how you collect and handle your customers’ data.

- Communications with Openings, including support requests and feedback.

- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the Openings platform.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Process bookings and keep schedules accurate.
- Improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Respond to support requests and communicate updates.
How we share information
- With service providers who help us host, maintain, and operate Openings.
- With the business or individual you book with so they can manage your appointment.
- With communications providers (such as SMS carriers) to deliver appointment-related text messages you request.
- To comply with legal obligations or protect the rights and safety of Openings and its users.
We do not sell your personal information.
SMS and text messaging
If you opt in to receive appointment-related SMS messages, we will use your phone number to send confirmations, reminders, and schedule changes. Message frequency varies based on your booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP.
We share your phone number with our messaging providers only to deliver these communications. We do not sell or use your phone number for third-party marketing.
Mobile apps and device permissions
When you use the Openings mobile apps (Openings for Business and Openings Staff), the apps may request device permissions required for specific features: Camera and Photos to upload business or profile images; Notifications to deliver booking, message, and schedule alerts; Bluetooth, NFC, and Location to discover and connect to supported card readers (including Tap to Pay on iPhone and Stripe Terminal readers) for in-person payments; Biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) to sign in securely. Permissions are requested at the time of use and can be changed in your device settings. The apps do not read your phone number, call logs, contacts, or device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Payment processing
We use Stripe and Stripe Terminal to process in-person and online payments. When a business accepts payment through Openings, payment card information is collected and processed directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Openings receives only non-sensitive metadata, such as the amount, status, last four card digits, and a Stripe identifier, to display and reconcile transactions. We do not store full card numbers.
Third-party service providers
We rely on the following categories of service providers to operate Openings: cloud hosting and databases (Supabase, Fly.io, Google Cloud, Cloudflare), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service), transactional email and SMS delivery carriers, payments (Stripe and Stripe Terminal), and error monitoring. These providers process information only to perform services for Openings and are bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have rights under the CCPA; residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and comparable jurisdictions have rights under the GDPR and similar laws. To exercise these rights, contact info@openings.link. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Businesses using Openings control how long they keep their own customer records.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Please use strong passwords and keep your account information safe.
Your choices
You can update your profile details in the dashboard and request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting Openings through the support channel listed in the dashboard.
Children’s privacy
Openings is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
